Hi, Sorry you are having problems.

What version of Firefox are you using now, it should be Firefox 19.0.2

I am not sure I understand fully what you are saying. Does Firefox actually work for you ?

I am not aware that Firefox generates alarm sounds when Tabs are opened. Perhaps you could provide more information about what you are doing and what happens.

If you have not done so already possibly also consider using safemode, and even the reset feature. (Please read the notes first, you may wish to bookmark open tabs and extension homesites before any reset,because you will loose information) See:
