'add tab to taskbar' missing for web browser extension for a couple days now
I have been using the browser extension feedbro and i really enjoyed being able to plop it out of the main browser window and 'add it to the taskbar' but for a couple days this option disappeared. Is there another way to do this? did "add tab to taskbar" get removed for browser extensions? or is this feedbro related? i am unsure how to test whether the button is missing for other browser extensions as well.
added two images showing that the button is gone from feedbro and still there for other tabs/pages

There hasn't been a feedbro update for months (years) so it's most likely not a change of theirs.
I don't see any bugs filed for this specifically, would you be able to run mozregression to try identify the point in time this behavior changed? (You'd be able to clone your profile into the run incl. extensions to speed up the bisection.)

thanks for the reply. i struggle to use the program based on the introduction video since it's quite old. it doesn't give me the option to choose the range under "build selection"?
I've annotated some images e.g. here (in an unrelated thread) — on that panel you first need to change the two dropdowns to "release" — and then you should be able to pick versions from the number dropdowns far down on that list there; use e.g. "last good" 148 and "first bad" 154 — it will quickly settle on a range on its own once you start having some "good" and some "bad" versions early in the run on both sides..
thank you so much. i hope i did it right. i guess you need the pushlog? https://hg-edge.mozilla.org/integration/autoland/pushloghtml?fromchange=c6823239884ad35eb8a175e6ae37b3f6b00311bf&tochange=136735908f7443875644bdc615a9bee46c700699
Oooh great job! Normally that pushlog would be still a little too broad but this stands out: bugzilla.mozilla.org/2041097 — which, definitely sounds like a) it has potential to change what you're seeing, and b) it doesn't read like extensions were considered in that either way; sounds like your workflow makes sense to point out to be considered intentionally. Do you want to file a bug with your findings yourself, so you can track the progress? (I can file it for you of course, but since you've done the research, I'd ideally let you do the honors…) 💪
if you could file it, i'd be very grateful. i am not even sure what i am looking at on the page you linked. haha. thank you so much for helping me with this :)
Sure thing! bugzilla.mozilla.org/2059240 is your bug — can't predict any decisions taken but any updates will happen on its timeline. Thanks for reporting this!
