I had to restart my computer for updates so I clicked on my container and closed it thinking it was like closing a program and then re-opening it. Now it's gone and several hours research with it. Is there any way to restore a closed container?

I hope this is a simple setting issue. I believe I have tried everything others have recommended.

When I open a PDF I get a black background and a grey block. One for every page in the PDF.

When searching inside a webpage the color of the item found hardly distinguishable with my theme. I tried to modify the ui.textSelectBackgroundAttention parameter of config. No results. The color stays the same old one.

I've not been able to use that site for a long time on Firefox. There's something particular about Firefox. Chrome works fine. Reinstalled a few times, made sure no VPN is active in the browser (I dont use one). And posting results in "Posting from your IP range has been temporarily blocked due to abuse [More Info]. Please verify your e-mail address or try again later. ". Every single time. Rather than stop using Firefox I hoped someone here would know what's going on.

I use the Mozilla Firefox browser to read yahoo email. The email unread counter at the top of the browser is incorrect. The count on top of the browser shows an increasing number, when looking at my email shows no unread emails. Currently shows 63, but seems like the number is increasing. Any idea how to fix this ? What I have observed The warning appears on Firefox network-error pages, including when the internet is disconnected or I enter an incorrect URL. A particularly reproducible example occurs after I successfully log in to Kotak Net Banking and select Help → Raise a Query. Firefox then displays a connection/privacy warning associated with the embedded page. I do not see the same behaviour in Chrome or Firefox Private Browsing when performing the equivalent Kotak steps. Troubleshooting already completed 1. Norton Safe Web HTTPS scanning was disabled and re-enabled without resolving the issue. 2. QUIC/HTTP3 scanning, WebSocket Protocol Scanning and DNS/DoH scanning were individually tested without resolving it. 3. Firefox Enterprise Policies are inactive. 4. I found no SSLKEYLOGFILE entry in either Windows User Variables or System Variables. 5. Norton and Dell malware scans found no malware. 6. The warning also occurs when I connect through a mobile phone hotspot rather than my usual BSNL connection. Questions for Mozilla's technical contributors 1. Does this warning establish that Firefox detects SSLKEYLOGFILE, or could another mechanism produce the same message? 2. Can the variable be inherited by Firefox from a parent process or injected into its running process even when it is absent from the Windows User and System Variables? 3. What is the safest way to identify which process or security product is setting it on Windows 11? 4. Is there a known interaction between Firefox 157 and Norton 360 Standard that could explain this behaviour? 5. What evidence should I collect to distinguish a Norton issue from a Firefox issue without disabling security protections or modifying Windows settings? I am not looking to disable security features indiscriminately. I want to identify the actual cause and, if Norton is responsible, determine the precise setting that needs attention. I would particularly appreciate a response from a contributor with Windows networking, Firefox TLS or security-software diagnostic experience. Thank you.

I've been using firefox for a little while- maybe three months now. I'm no expert on any of the config options. I run firefox using the built in VPN that my friend showed me how to enable, and I've been using it since. But now, as of roughly today, whenever I enable the VPN, no websites will load. At all. When I turn it off, they load instantly. But whenever I turn it on, it just gets stuck loading forever and ever, never actually getting anywhere. I tried enabling network.dns.disableIPv6 in the config page, because that's what I saw on a mozilla support page- nothing. Didn't do anything. The browser.ipprotection.enabled is still on, and I didn't change anything in settings. There was a firefox update very recently, but everything still worked with the VPN on. I just updated my computer, but I don't think that's it either because it wasn't loading things earlier today either. Not sure how to fix this. Please help?

This happened once before - then cleared after the next update. Now, after a recent update, the browser display is unstable again. Not a problem with any other browser - so it's NOT the computer. Any suggestions ?

I have a Mini PC connected to my TV. I use the Top Sites shortcut feature to remind me of which TV shows I'm streaming. Each time I complete an episode, I edit the Top Site and change the URL to the next episode, so that, when I come back and hit the shortcut -- it keeps my place in the series.

This all worked perfectly until the recent Windows desktop build of 157.0.1. Now, when I edit the shortcut and click save, it doesn't Save the edit. Instead -- it creates a duplicate shortcut in my bottom row.

It doesn't matter which Top Site I edit -- they all do it.

Can anyone duplicate this bug?

When uploading photos, Firefox is not Showing the last folder used. Normally, when uploading a photo from a certain folder, the next time you do that, the same folder shows up unless you choose a different one. Now, it keeps going to one specific folder even though I uploaded from a different folder previously.

Example: say I uploaded a photo from my folder "sympathy pics". Then I upload a photo from "my documents". The next upload pop-up box still pops up the "sympathy pics" folder when it should bring up "my documents".

Can someone please help me?

I am having difficulty understand where to start downloading Bookmark Dupes. I am not sure if it is the answer to my problems. I want to reorganize folders mess with duplicates ,layout order deletes and duplicates while maintaining most content

Don't know where it should be. But here is the issue: I check my personal email often, so I used to open Firefox, click the address bar, and my Outlook would be at the top. Now, for whatever reason, Firefox tries very hard to make that disappear, even though that is my most-used website. First, it'll drop a few places in drop-down, then some more, and then disappear. To bring it back, I'll have to delete unwanted links (the ones I open like once a month!) from history, and after quite a bit of work, Outlook will be back. Then rinse and repeat.....How can I fix this?
