I am following all the instructions. It has continued to fail for the past year. I've uninstalled ff and reinstalled ff. I've tried creating new profiles. I can import everything into Chrome or from Chrome to MSE, but NOTHING will import into ff from any other browser.

This merely involves opening the folder that has the imported bookmarks in the right panel in the Bookmarks Manager (Library). Then you can select all the bookmarks in the right panel and use Cut in the right-click context menu. Then you can navigate in the left panel in the Library to the folder where you want those bookmarks to appear and paste the bookmark you copied to the clipboard via cut in the right panel. For bookmarks you want to appear on the Bookmarks Toolbar this would mean to select this folder in the left pane. See "How do I organize my bookmarks?":

Top left in ff "Import Bookmarks" leads to a choice of browsers from which to import. There is no link; a box pops up offering the choice. I had the same bookmarks in both MS Edge and Chrome. All choices failed.

When you say "no link" do you mean Edge is not offered as an option?

No. The replier requested a link. There is no link.

You can export the bookmarks in Edge to an HTML file and import this file in Firefox.

Note that importing an HTML backup merges the bookmarks, so you may end up with duplicates.

Okay, so they imported via HTML. But how do I SEE them across the top of my screen like I can do in ALL the other browsers? FF is fatiguing. Mozbackup was soooooo easy.

You likely need to move the imported bookmarks to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder if you want to see that toolbar.

Is there a step by step instruction somewhere on HOW to "move the imported bookmarks to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder?" Or better yet a video? I'm cross-eyed from all the reading trying to find exactly what I need to do. And, I admit readily, I have no patience; whatever I had of it is long gone!
