Why, when I search for themes, am I presented with pages of themes which don't work with my version of Firefox? The search algorythm should filter them.

I updated to Firefox 23.0.1 and am using Mac OS 10.8.4. It deleted my current theme without notifying me. When I went to search for it or a new theme I was presented with PAGES of incompatible themes. If you can note under the incompatible themes that they are incompatible, you can use the same process you use to label them, to prevent them from being shown at all. What is your major malfunction here? If I'm missing something let me know. If not, there's no excuse for this stupidity.

Firefox should dim extensions that aren't compatible after the page has loaded.
If that isn't the case then you may be blocking the JavaScript that performs this dim action.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
