Just today I have found all text in Firefox has come up super-thin and weird-looking. It's as if the font has changed. It's the same on all websites. Up to yesterday it was quite bold and chunky.

This is a massive problem for me as I'm vision-impaired and can't easily read it any more. I've tried making the font bigger but it still is really thin and spindly and hard to see, I can't find any way to make it bolder/chunkier. Also I don't know why it is suddenly different today anyway?? I just want it back the way it's been up to now, which I found very readable.

I can't even read this to check for mistakes, so please excuse any.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Well thanks a bunch genius.

Now it has lost all my bookmarks. Did you stop to consider the fact that I AM VISION IMPAIRED and something like that has now made my day disolve into a frantic panic of not being able to access any help or put this right?

Would you now like to explain to me - in the LARGEST FONT YOU CAN FIND - HOW i PUT THAT RIGHT??

OH AND NO, IT DIDN'T HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. aT ALL. i NOW JUST HAVE A LOAD OF OTHER PROBLEMS TO GO WITH IT.

A reset won't cause you to lose bookmarks (maybe it just looks different, press Ctrl+B). Regardless, look on your desktop, do you see a file called "Old Firefox Data"? Use Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile to recover your bookmarks from there if you really did lose them.

IT SAID IT COULDN'T RESTORE THEM DUE TO MY SECURITY SETTINGS, OR SOMETHING.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO SOLVE THE TEXT PROBLEM? i CAN GET SOMEONE TO HELP ME FIX THE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE RESET BUT I'M REALLY STRUGGLING WITH THIS FONT, I HAVE TO FIX THIS TO BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ONLINE.
