Your latest version is problematic
I have downloaded and installed your latest version and I have nothing but problems. It is so FULL of BUGS. I have to repeatedly reset my connection (don't have to on other system running previous version of Firefox) AND this evening tried to use a website to set a service appointment and the system with latest version DIDNOT WORK!!! System with previous version had no problems.
GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!
I do not want to have to go bakc to IE but you are making it difficult to stay with you. FIX IT NOW!!!
Yes, I am ver frustrated. I do not like it when I have to spend hours trying to make software work. Why don't you hire people who know what they are doing instead of these kids from the "high profile schools" who don't know anything.
FIX THIS NOW!!!

Did you encounter these problems in switching from Firefox 13 to Firefox 14, or in switching from Firefox 3.6 to Firefox 14?
When you say you had to reset your connection, do you mean you did that at the Windows level (e.g., by right-clicking a connection icon in the system tray and choosing reset)? If you meant something else, what was it you had to do?
Both Firefox 13 and Firefox 14 have a new Reset feature. This duplicates certain key data such as your bookmarks from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your plugins will still be active, but could be disabled manually if you like.
More information in this article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
If the new settings folder has the same problem, you can switch back if you like using Firefox's Profile Manager. (Info on the profile manager: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles -- don't delete anything yet, just use it for switching if needed.)
Does it make any difference?
My hard drive failed and had to install a new one. After installing the system software from the disks provided by the manufacturer, I went online and did a clean install of Firefox (no upgrade).
My previous version was version 12.0 and it worked flawlessly.
When I attempted to run the profile manager as described, all that opened was another firefox window. Then, I tried the full command line C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p and the system gave me an error message that it could not find the program. So far, batting 000
When I go to the reset page in the help menu under troubleshooting, I can see the profile folder. At this time, there appears to be only one profile, the default.
I will try the reset button next time I have problems. Still, not getting a very confident feeling here when the profile commands do not do what they are suppose to do. And this is a "clean install".
Is there any way to go back to version 12.0?
The profile manager doesn't start if any Firefox windows are already open. I'm guessing that might have happened in your case.
If you list the problems you're having with Firefox 14, we can assist in determining whether Firefox 12 was free of those problems. Otherwise, you'd be exposing yourself to publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities for no reason.
You did use the quotes (required with embedded spaces) and also placed one at the very beginning as that one is missing in your post?
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p
Also be sure to have a space before the "-p" switch.
Yes I did remember to do the quotes and the space before the p. It just opens a new browser window with nothing in it
Have again done a reset of firefox and this is what came up...
Firefox can't find the server at www.mozilla.com.
What this version is doing: I open firefox. I put in a web address or try a google search. Firefox gives me an error that it can't find the server. I hit try again. Still can't find the server. I have found that if I use the tray icon to reset my network connection, Firefox will go to one, two or three sites then start doing this "can't find the server at...." error. Before you say it's the network, I have one identical system to the one I am using (got it for my wife at the same time as the one I have) plus two others that are working flawlessly with my net access. It's only the system that has version 14 of Firefox that is problematic.
Also, when I use IE on this system, it works fine. No error messages. So, since my other systems are running Firefox 12 (I purposely don't upgrade because of potential situations like this), it appears that it is Firefox related.
So, where can I download version 12. I am too frustrated with having access that has to be reset every 2 or 3 web pages.
The usual cause of post-upgrade inability to connect is the program control feature of Firewall software. That and other issues are outlined in this article: Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can.
