"Save Image As" does not appear on the right click menu of an image I want to save.

Trying to save images as a file to my desktop/laptop. I right click on the image and the menu appears. The entry Save Image As... is not present on the menu. How do I get the menu to show this entry?

I've heard that the problem may have something to do with plug-ins, but I've reinstalled and disabled each of them. It didn't change anything.

Does that happen with all images or only on specific web pages?

Can you post a link if the later applies?

Can you save the images via Tools > Page Info > Media ?

To be sure:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window.

Thank you for the prompt assistance! Very much appreciated. 

I believe I've been through all of the steps of Safe Mode and and resetting plugins and resetting preferences. All to no avail.

The problem occurs anytime I try to save an image. The place I try to do it most often is in an individual eBay auction, where I open a child window within the parent window.

For example, I'll open: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170566594248&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Within that I open the image of the auction lot by clicking the image. This opens the child window. It is a chrome-less window, so there's not much to manipulate. From the above window, I open: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=170566594248 (See attached screen shot.)

Right click, and there is no Save Image as... option. That's the problem I'm trying to fix.
