Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

cor-el, thanks for the quick answer, I started in safe mode and then found out the problem is with the Extension New Tab King 4.0.9. Once I disable it my home page button works.
