an hour after updating Firefox I get a popup tto update

Normally there's one single release during that time frame since the update originally downloaded for you. This cycle there were two more releases for stability purposes, so you'll see additional updates when you next check. Ideally you'll only get one more to update you directly to latest v152.0.3 that should be rolling out universally by now.
