Why doesn't Mozilla have updates in app or on your website. Have Firefox focus from original release. Don't have Google play account & don't want one. You have released new versions but I'm locked out. Let us all not bow down to the evil corporate impire. We should all be open source. Thank you for your great work.

When Thunderbird last updated it trashed my email client. I have been in the process of trying to rebuild it. I am now at the point of having changed the StartWithLastProfile=1 to a 0 so it comes up with a choice of profiles. Unfortunately this is a blind alley. When I tell it to choose the profile with all my emails, etc. I get the attached screen. "More information" does not help. I cant get access to my Thunderbird to confirm my build but based on what I have here I think it is 158ESR. I'm surprised that it thinks this is an older version since this is what Support told me to install in order to get provider for Google calendar add on to work. Someone please help me to get past this point and on to restoring Thunderbird to health. Thank you

HOW Many times do i have to put in the same information? I will try again. How do I disable the automatic upgrade feature that is being used? The asshole intelligence being use creates a situation where shortly after implementing Firefox becomes unresponsive and I have to unplug my computer and start over. This is about to the point where i am going to switch especially since those dregs at Yahoo are demanding i diosable my ad blocker9 that ain't going to happen)

I hate Thunderbird since the new update. and don't know why they had to screw-up something that worked perfectly fine. Very frustrated!!! and don't know how to fix it without removing my account, saved passwords and all the other advice online. I never had a problem with Thunderbird and have used it for many years.

So each time this pos browser updates I have to comb through ALL of the setting to see what their stupid brains though was a good idea to change for me? What kind of dirty underhanded BS is this? Mozilla is going to CHANGE my settings, NOT only to AUTO FREAKING OPEN like no one will notice this, now I have to spend time seeing if someone hacked my system. Well turns out, it was permission given I am sure through BS EULA. How is this not against the law?

cannot seem to send emails to multiple people without going thru mail merge. I can no longer type the persons name in to: field and it will not autofill. I tried to go to calendar function and got a blank screen.

Can I go back to a previous version?

I always keep program icon in tray and when a new/unread email arrives, a separate yellow icon would pop up next to it... Well, after updating from 158 to 159, that new/unread icon is no longer popping up. Now I have to periodically click the main program icon to open Thunderbird and see that there's tons of new/unread mail sitting there, but that yellow tray icon never showed!

I would like to roll back to 158 but it is proving to be quite difficult.

Hi I use Firefox-ESR with profiles. Every time firefox-esr updates on my Debian-13 I lose the -P option in /usr/share/applications/firefox-esr. So every FF update I need to vi this file :-( Is there a way to prevent this? tia G.
