How can I replace the Home and New Tab with my extension's tabs?

I don't like the default homepage provided by Firefox, so I found an extension that can offer better tabs. But when I open Firefox, my homepage doesn't show the page provided by the extension. It's still Firefox's default homepage. Only when I open a new tab will the page provided by the extension appear. Also, the settings don't offer the option to replace Firefox's default homepage with the page provided by the extension. I need to replace the homepage from Firefox's default homepage to the tab provided by the extension.

I have tried itab, Wetab, and Infinity. (Note that these plugins do not seem to be available on the Firefox extensions store and need to be downloaded as a crx file from the official website and installed manually in Firefox.)
