why when I enter an address it always goes to search google and not the website I want
a few days ago I bring up Firefox and try to access a website with the URL and it automatically goes to Google as a search. What has changed? and how do I get rid of it and have some control without going thru Google which I don't like to use?

Does the same happen if you restart into Troubleshoot Mode (from Help menu), to rule out any rogue extension hijacking your browser inputs?
Go to Settings > Search and change your default search engine to something other than Google. Under "Additional search engines," disable Google and any others you don't like. Under "Search engine suggestions," disable "Show search suggestions." Under "Firefox Suggest," disable everything.
