I can open gmail but it does not refresh. If I clear the cache it refreshes the first time only. Sometimes I get a message saying that my account is temporarily unavailable but I can access gmail with no problem on my iPhone, android tablet and with Google Chrome without any problems. Turning off the Advanced Tracking does not resolve the problem.

Isisombululo Esikhethiwe

Hey hey,

Have you tried to see if the problem is reproducible from the Troubleshoot Mode?

Gmail worked in Troubleshoot mode. I have two extensions AdBlocker and Facebook Container. In normal mode, I disabled the AdBlocker and Gmail worked. I re-enabled it and Gmail still worked.

Thanks for the fix.

Hi eytan,

I'm glad to hear you've found a way out of your issue and thank you for getting back here to share the solution. (:

This is a follow up to the solution you provided. It turns out that the solution is not a permanent fix. Every now and then, Gmail locks up despite Adblocker being turned off. Turning Adblocker on and then off resolves the problem. I am still trying to find what triggers the problem so any suggestions will be appreciated. In the meantime I can access my email even if I have the annoyance of having to toggle the Adblocker

Based on this thread, that could be cause by a Google server issue and should eventually stop.

Can you please try to clean Firefox cache and see if that helps?
