When I login to my main Firefox browser and then access a website within a short while the browser screen opens up again automatically. In other words, a second window which is very irritating. How can I stop this from happening?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Yes. No change. The problem still persists. In addition, I already did a refesh before posting my issue on the community.

Greetings, Further to my reply to you of 13/02/24 I need to clarify a point. I stated originally was that Firfox was opening up a SECOND main screen. In actual fact what is happening once I have opened up the main screen and then clicked on an icon to access a website, what Firefox is doing is flipping back and bring up my main bowser screen. Hence, there are two windows open, the website I was in and the main browser screen. I then close down the browser screen to continue with the website I was in. Accessing the 'troubleshooting mode' as you suggested has unfortunately NOT fixed my problem.

This happens to me too

On booting up I will manually open Firefox and about a minute later another Firefox Browser will open.

Windows 10 is still starting up and the icons in the taskbar are yet to appear

Maybe I just need to be more patient
