I cannot access gmail through firefox search engine

more options

I have seen all the answers for this question/problem, I am not happy with the options you give to solve the problem. Here is how the problem started and I have complained before and I am giving you the reason why I cannot get into gmail through firefox.

After trying to sign in to my youtube account through firefox browser it would not let me, so I signed in through chrome, after closing all tabs I then went to sign in gmail with my firefox enabled gmail shortcut and it says after clicking on the 'M' (mail) button, your cookies are not enabled, switch on cookies. Cookies are switched on. This problem is clearly being caused by a glitch and you would think that after all these years of people complaining the idiots at Moz://a would solve the problem. What happened to WEB STANDARDS. Being that they all run on HTML, surely it is not against the law for anyone to make themselves fully compatible with the other. For this reason, I REFUSE TO DELETE ANYTHING. You are the cause of this problem MOZILLA. You are legally obliged to make your search engine compatible or stop programming with HTML. It is not only YOUTUBE and GOOGLE your boasting has problems with, it is PINTEREST too, I wonder how many other top POPULAR sites you are not compatible with.

I AM LEAVING YOU FOR CHROME. DON'T GIVE ME YOUR EXCUSES OR TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO. YOU ARE THE ONE'S WHO ARE AT FAULT. NO MATTER IF I SOLVE THE PROBLEM YOUR WAY, YOU ARE NOT COMPATIBLE.

WEBSTANDARDS.

Robert Friend.

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

I do not see how re-installing flash player can solve the problem. The problem is that firefox is not compatible with youtube. If I re-install flashplayer I can not access my youtube account from firefox. That is plain to see because I already have it. That is why I went to ch'rome':-) to access my youtube account in the first place.

Many Firefox users go to Youtube with no problem. Those few that have a problem, we help them solve it.

Did you check the link I posted about cookies?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

What happens when you tried?

Nothing happens.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar. At the top-right should be a link to 'try Safe Mode.'

Nothing happening there, forget it, don't waste your time on it. If MoStupid does'nt want to pull a finger out, don't do their work for them. Mozilla should get off their arses, stop drinking coffee, and do what I asked them.

Are you listening Most illa;-) Why don't you pay this man who is trying to solve 'the problem that has been around for years'. Bought themselves a yacht and went on holiday. There ain't no one there, it's all on auto. Foxes are sly. Not you Fred, I can see you are trying all the previous things that probably worked in years gone by, don't you find it strange how they no longer work. Someone must be purposely making life hard for Mozilla or Mozilla are not keeping up to date.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

They are a waste of space, if I go there, they tell me to come here. There is not need for firefox other than a search. Thanks for trying, not your fault.
