How do I stop this page from coming up several times a day. I have already set FireFox as my default browser, several times, but to no avail. I've careful followed your instructions. I dislike MS and have used FF for years. If this doesn't stop, I'll search for another browser that hopefully behave. I have set it on 4 computers, 2 Win 10, 2 Win 11.

By the way, the computers show FireFox twice, but only one actual installation.

I have uninstalled my Firefox ( as Firefox was set to my default browser across other browsers, including Chrome and Avast Secure browser etc would not allow me to open Google related searched websites ????)

1.1] Resulting in me uninstalling Firefox and all its connected trace data files cleaned off my Windows 10 computer today

2] and now in the Same half hour, I have reinstalled Firefox and Need to recover my previous Firefox bookmarks ?

...even though the settings are exactly the same as the other laptops everyone in the group. Why are these bugs not disclosed ? One set of problems exchanged for another -- reminds me of Microsoft 'upgrades'. Whatever happened to the post about Addon icons spontaneously disappearing ? Another release bug ? And then there was the "Bookmarks vertical spacing not optimized", which promulgated a response soliciting me to, "...describe the problem...". Quite a unique experience. For us.

Turned on laptop this morning after arriving at work -- Addon icons gone and Addons not functioning. Why was this fault in 152.0.5 not disclosed before committing to upgrading the the browsers I support for distance consultants ? Click the Manage Extensions icon and there are no "gears" to click to "Pin to toolbar". This is terrible. I have a half hour until those folks arrive at work in Lost Angeles. Wow. I want to revert to a previous version. Where do I get them ? I am a DBA and NOT support for unstable browsers. FF consistently causing me time and money but "befehl ist befehl" and it is the browser we are ordered to use. I believe management has conflated Free and Functional/useful when selecting our S/W tools.

What the Hell else do I need to add to clarify that ? You don't want, can't or refuse to answer -- I get that. But DO NOT rope-a-dope me be typing it's not clear or you don't comprehend what, Bookmark Spacing Vertical Intervals Not Optimized means. It is a clear, concise description of an IT problem. I have zero clue how to describe it any other way. This is flabbergasting -- it is a well-known problem but all the solutions offered I have seen are garbage. Am wasting huge amounts of time and money, neighbor ! I can't submit a bill for all this runaround !

Hey guys, so I always have a bunch of tab groups as it helps me organize my tabs. But every time I accidentally close Firefox or my pc resets, all the tab groups are gone. UNLIKE google chrome where, even if I close chrome they will be on the toolbar for me to open again. So could you please add this feature on firefox as well because this is getting very irritating because I have to open the individual tabs again and again? Thank you.

It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"

I can't log into my Google account using Firefox. Can log in on Chrome using the same device so I don't think the device is the problem. It was fine until about an hour ago. When I attempted to click on a YouTube tab the tab closed. Any attempt to log in redirects me to a Google support page about deleting my cache and cookies. Which I've already done multiple times and I still can't log in.

I tried to login to Autodesk for some discussion about file retention, etc. I logged in using my user id and password and then Autodesk sent me a code as a two factor identification function. When the page opened the place to enter the code it looked like the image that I have attached. I could not enter the code supplied by Autodesk as FireFox kept trying to get me to do something with email masks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

Up until version 141, the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit Firefox installers wasn't noteworthy, though it has clearly been slowly increasing overtime. However, starting from version 141, the difference between them doubled from 5MB to 10MB, meaning a nearly 13.5% larger installer for the 64bit version than the 32bit one.

Why is that? What happened? Are there are feature differences that would warranty such a large gulf in their installer sizes? It's the AI isn't it? 32bit users were spared the bloat of the AI.

I also see that starting from 115.16 Firefox suggests users that aren't on Windows 7-8.1 or MacOS 10.12-10.14 should use other versions. Given both x86 and Windows' immense reputation surrounding backwards compatibility, is this really a concern? Is there REALLY something supported by Windows 7-8.1 that wouldn't function on 10?

After typing in alaskaair.com account info... I get this... It use to work on firefox, doesn't anymore after I set up this as a profile..

The server at auth0.alaskaair.com sent back an error: 406 Not Acceptable

However, works on edge browser.
