I have an issue with unified folders where one specific IMAP account keeps disappearing from the "Sent" and "Drafts" folder (this does not happen in any other unified folders that I have added the account to). The strange thing is that when I right click any of the unified folders it keeps disappearing from, go to their properties and click "Choose" both "Sent" and "Drafts" folders are already in there and when I click "Update" the account disappears from the unified folders panel and is properly integrated like it should be. It's quite annoying because I need to do this every time I restart the program.
In the attached screenshot you can see that the "Sent" folder is selected to be a part of the unified "Send" folder, but it instead shows up separate until I click the "Update" button in the unified folder's properties. Same applies to "Drafts".
Sadly I couldn't find anything on the internet so far, so I'm wondering is someone else has an issue like this an possibly knows a solution.

Hello Thunderbird Team I am facing a crisis and am praying you can help me. I have been using Thunderbird since 2021. I had setup my account and archives by year containing messages in Folders (Inbox, Sent & Deleted). During a recent laptop migration, I accidentally deleted my profile on my old laptop. I immdeiately recreated it. However now all email stored in my inbox has disappeared. Second, I cannot seem to locate the archives. So I have 2 requests for urgent support: 1. How do I locate the messages in my inbox prior to deleting my profile? 2. How can I recreate the archive with folders? I can see that the profile folder is a massive 22 GB. So the data is there somewhere. Please help me recreate my email profile so I doi not face a business crisis. Thank You Warm regards Milind

Здравствуйте! столкнулись с проблемой, используем Mozilla Thunderbird в организации на всех рабочих компьютерах, иногда некоторые из них, не все, теряют связь с почтовым сервером и появляется ошибка что сервер либо не найден, либо невозможно установить соединение, либо неправильные данные для входа(Хотя они заведомо правильные), например в одном кабинете из 3 компьютеров к почтовому серверу может подключиться только 1 из них(Подключены они все к одной сети), появляется эта ситуация спонтанно, нет никаких предпосылок, WEB почтовые клиенты работают исправно в этот период. Можете пожалуйста проконсультировать в чем может быть проблема ? Суть я вроде всю передал, но если появятся какие либо вопросы или потребуются уточнения дайте знать. Заранее спасибо!

I recently updated my system to Fedora 41 and now have the newer Thunderbird 140.3.0esr. The problem is that now, immediately after startup and then about every 15 minutes, a Google API login window pops up, as shown in the picture. How can I effectively block this?

I had a problem with an account so Login to SMTP was failing. At this time all dialog boxes were too small to read or even see the text impute area for the password. This was a newly (re)created account inTB. It worked fine to download but would not send. [I eventually solved/worked around this by using a different login name.] However the UI problem is probably still there to be a problem for others. The first "Sending message" box was too small, about 1/4 the normal size I expect, but could be resized if you were quick enough. The Error message and Password Entry boxes would be overlaid and both too small to read content or see the buttons or text entry fields. They could not be resized.
If I close Thunderbird (144.0.1) it crashes when I re-open it and I then have to reinstall it. How do I solve this?

I looked up 1130 in spectrum’s website but I couldn't figure out what it was saying. I also called spectrum to see if they could help but they couldn't help and just referred me back to you guys.

ps - I had a terrible time with thunderbird trying to load a profile from another computer. This failed utterly and I had to have someone help me to reload thunderbird on this laptop. I've never had luck with sending ever since it was reloaded. to reload, I had to search for 'thunderbird' on my computer over and over again until there was no 'thunderrbirds' to delete - that included several thunderbird downloads as well. I wiped my laptop clean of all thunderbirds and then it could finally be downloaded. But I didn't think to try to send a message when I tech guy was there so I didn’t catch that I couldn’t send them.

I'm getting very frustrated with important emails being put in the junk folder. Nothing I have done prevents this behavior. + Sender is in address book + I have NO filt… (funda okungaphezulu)

+ Sender is in address book + I have NO filters + Mail server does not have filters + Enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account -- OFF + Trust junk mail headers set by: -- OFF + Move new junk messages to: -- OFF + Global junk settings
When messages are marked as junk: -- OFF Mark messages as read When manually marked as junk -- OFF When Thunderbird determines that they are junk -- OFF
Enable adaptive junk filter logging -- OFF [ Reset Training Data ] -- pressed many times, no noticable effect
Thunderbird gives me the error "The current command did not succeed" if try to delete my junk folder.
I'm at my wits' end and ready to dump Thunderbird for something else. This is obnoxious and has caused me a lot of grief with missed important emails.
Is there a definitive way to turn this "feature" 100% off or is it time to ditch this app?

I run aPC with Win 7 (64 bit) and use TB 115.18.0 (64 bit) Supernova (esr) I have all my contacts in a folder on the HDD (data drive). However, I cannot find where TB stores its "contacts" folder. Nor how to import my contacts from the windows folder. I have tried to download a "contacts sidebar" from TB, but my ver. of TB is "not suitable" " " " " create a "contacts" folder to replace the "Starred" folder etc. (failed) and even created a "contacts" folder in the "Local Folders"(succeeded). However when I tried to drag and drop the files from windows toTB, it failed.
There must be a simple way to to import contacts.

This started when I simply attempted to rename a folder in Thunderbird, and emails disappeared *remain in old folder. QUESTION: Can I safely simply set the correct profile as the default (lojbsrwp.default)? ISSUES: -Troubleshooting information shows incorrect profile Roaming/Thunderbird/ (no files since 2017); Settings shows path to correct profile. -Two Profiles showing in /Thunderbird; one appears current. -Profile show folders that do not appear in Thunderbird -Folders w/numbers at the end of file name keep duplicating when I delete, but don't disappear from either -Thunderbird & Profile. Can't delete multiple, duplicated folders. Is there any way to access my Lightning Calendar events programmatically, either by using some command-line access with thunderbird.exe, or by reading the local files where calendar data is cached? I would like to be able to run scripts locally based off my calendar events.
(I didn't see a better question topic to list this under, although this could also be considered a privacy question since bad actors could use these same cli/file access methods to steal calendar data, I suppose...)

My email storage server has a limited space allocation. Because I keep most emails for future reference/recall, I have been moving important emails to specific folders I have created in LOCAL FOLDERS. The LOCAL FOLDERS resides in a local drive in my main desktop computer.
Lately I switched from POP to IMAP so I will be able to access my emails on my phone, remote desktop at home & on my notebook when I travel.
Because of limited storage space allocation, only the main basic folders (inbox, drafts, sent, junk, trash, etc........) reside on the server & appear on all my connected devices (phone, remote desktop & notebook).
When I am on the main work desktop, everything works flawlessly. I have access to whatever information I need. However, when I am on the other devices, all I see are the basic folders that reside on the server.
Could you suggest a creative way I could take the LOCAL FOLDERS along with me when I am outside the office? I was thinking of mounting the LOCAL FOLDER in the cloud, if that is possible. I will be the only one accessing it (single user) so colliding versions should not be an issue. I was thinking of copying the files on to an external drive then restoring to whichever device I use but the problem with this workaround is syncing back to the main machine.....a lot of extra work & steps.
Any suggestions? Hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you.
