Firefox 4 still CRASHES when you play FACEBOOK FLASH games, but instead of saying it has CRASHED, and telling you to refresh, the TAB just automatically goes to the same page it goes to when you click a NEW TAB.
When I play Facebook Flash games, instead of Firefox saying FIREFOX HAS CRASHED, PLEASE REFRESH.... It just goes to a blank page with a red dog saying search BING.
That is the same page that it goes to when you click the Plus sign that opens up a NEW TAB.
This is really frustrating. Please Firefox, figure out a way to work right with Flash Games, ESPECIALLY Facebook Flash Games.
This happens pretty frequently. I will be in the middle of a Facebook game, say like Frontierville, Cafe World or something, and all of the sudden it EXITS the game and I still have a TAB opened, but its like I opened a fresh blank TAB and the TAB with my game is no longer there.
Then I have to bring my game back up. This happens ALOOOOT and it needs to be fixed.

1. You are 3 version behind on Firefox 3.6.x updates. 3.6.16 is the latest version.
2. You might want to revert to the previous Flash 10.1 r102 release - I have no problems with that version on Win XP and Firefox 3.6.x and Firefox 4.0. (thankfully I always wait a few weeks after Adobe releases a new version of Flash to see if other users have problems with it)

scroll down to
Download Flash Player 10.1 (Non-IE Browsers)
or from Adobe

3. You should be using separate Profiles for 3.6.x and 4.0.
Create a new profile exclusively for 4.0 and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

4. It seems that you picked up some Bing garbage. You need to get rid of it.
I am not behind on Firefox updates. I have the latest one, Firefox 4 IS the latest one.
If I am not mistaken , 4 comes after 3 and 3.6 and 3.6.16
Firefox 4 is the latest, that is what I have and that is what I am talking about.
The other 2 versions you mentioned gave me nothing but problems too. EVERYTIME I went on my Facebook games on 3.6 and 3.6.16, AS SOON as the game would load, Firefox crashed, totally exited the browser and I had to open Firefox and my game again, then it would crash when I tried to open the same game the second time but usually the browser would stay up, I would just have to RELOAD the game.
Then MAYBE by the 3rd or 4th time I could play a few minutes on my Facebook games. So reverting to 3.6 or 3.6.16 or whatever older version WONT work for me either. That isnt an option, I wont go back to that hassle.
MOZILLA, just please fix 4's LAG in Flash games.

I have the same problem. But it's every site that runs flash or has videos. It happens every time and the only way I can do anything is by turning off my flash player plug-in, cause if I ever go to a page that has a small flash FireFox 4 crashes. I hope this get's fixed soon.
Nevermind, Fix it or DONT, I dont care. I use to love Firefox when I first got it years ago. It was ALOT better, faster and didnt crash like IE. The past few updates on FIREFOX have been HORRIBLE. Firefox 4 LAGS BAD on Facebook Flash games and STILL crashes it just doesnt say its crashing. It just resets your tab.
Firefox 3 and the one after that crashed AS SOON as I would get on my Facebook Flash games and I would have to load the same games over and over to get things done due to crashes. The Firefox AFTER 3 and before 4 did the same thing.
I just downloaded GOOGLE CHROME and it is WAY faster. When I visit my neighbors on my ZYNGA games it hangs a few seconds, but loads games WAY WAY faster than Firefox 4.
So people, if you are having issues with FIREFOX 4, Download GOOGLE CHROME. So far I am happy with it and imported my Firefox Bookmarks cause unless later on GOOGLE CHROME starts to act stupid, I will be sticking with it and NOT returning to Firefox.
FIREFOX you USE to be good, WHAT HAPPENED?
I am also giving up on Firefox. Instead of JUST concentrating on the new web technologies such as HTML 5, you should have worked on TODAY's standard. Once again you missed the boat... I thought this would be an improvement. You should have coordinated with Adobe like IE and Chrome to improve Flash performance with your browser. FIREFOX 4 IS STILL A MEMORY HOG WHEN TANDEMED WITH PLUG-INS. WAKE UP!!!! GET OFF YOUR HIGH CHAIR. INSTEAD OF TALKING AND CONCENTRATING ON ABSTRACT THINGS SUCH AS HTML 5--CONCENTRATE ON REALITY--THE REALITY OF TODAY. BY THE WAY YOUR HTML 5 DEMO IS SLUGGISH AND ROBOTIC. YOU ARE KILLING THE FUTURE OF WEB GAMES.
