Modify the "--" above custom signature line
Good morning.
I was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is, in fact, a way to modify the "--" that appears above the custom signature.
I am not trying to disable it, I am wanting to maybe change it to "----" or "-=-=-" or something to that affect.
Thanks!

If you remove it, you can replace it with whatever you want in your custom signature.

Just a comment, not a solution: those characters follow a long-standing internet protocol. If you change it you delete the function, so you may as well delete it. The fix is at https://kb.mozillazine.org/Signatures_-_Thunderbird#Removing_the_signature_separator

Thanks, I saw that removal in another forum...
I was just thinking of making it longer, but I can leave as is.
Thanks!

Didn't even think about that. I can go from the "--" to "----".
Sorry and thanks!
