Just installed Ver56, but told Ver 58 is latest ver?
Background; being a user of SBS, Australia, "I-View," or currently "On Demand" found I can access their Web Page but no longer watch documentaries, getting a blanked page. On approaching SBS support was told I had to use Google Chrome, not happy registered a complaint, about attitude.
Research on Whirlpool found a number of users who where unable to download SBS video's onto their smart TV's. While major brands of TV's where seen as the problem I suspect that the pathway though a Browser like "Firefox"? may be the underlying problem?
Question 2. Having problems with viewing SBS Australia, "On demand" documentaries. SBS suggested update to latest Firefox version. Updated to VER 56 congratulated by Firefox 2 days ago. On demand still doesn't work! SBS suggest I update to VER 58? Please explain? Contrary to your info on my system. I am using Vista Home Premium. 3ghz cpu. 4 Megs memm. Having no problems watching vidios or game trailers from other sources, just SBS.
3.Finally unable to find your suggested help symbol ? on your web page?

Hi, you are actually using v52.6 ESR - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/ which is the latest version that is supported for Vista. It seems likely that the site you are trying to use, only works with the latest version of Firefox - v58.
Support for Vista will end in June 2018, after which although Firefox will still work, it will become less and less secure.
Firefox has ended support for Windows XP and Vista

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Until later actually as Firefox 52.9.0esr out on July 3rd will be the last and not the 52.8.0esr as was originally planned. The next major version ESR will be based was moved from 59.0 to 60.0 as to why there is going to be 52.9.0esr in overlap.

Any Firefox that works on TV sets are either a Android version if the set g=has a Android OS or if using a Panasonic brand then there is the Firefox OS fork that Panasonic uses for their smart TV OS.
Your PC running Windows Vista can only run Firefox 52 ESR as support for WinXP and Vista was dropped as of Firefox 53.0 and later.
Thank you for your prompt reply which has answered some but not all of the issues. 1. Supporting Vista relates to my support for Firefox rather than the Big name browsers.Keeping up with the Jones'es costs to much in redundant software, we'll cross that bridge when the time comes.
2. My latest PC Cobra7, Intel I5, Win 7 pro 64 bit, 1060GPU, 16Megs mem, 500Gb SSD.etc. Will run On Demand videos using Google Chrome. But will not work using your Firefox Ver 58 which is the default browser. Have suggested that SBS support staff dialogue with you direct in the hope we can give Chrome, Edge etc some competition, particularly as they admitted the were inundated with emails from disgruntled FireFox users.
