Hey guys....

I want to make a super alert wav for new mail. It will be loud and long because it will be in a restaurant and we need to know definitely when a new order comes in, but want to be able to shut it off when we "read" the mail or move it/select it etc.... It seems right now the sound continues no matter what we do.

For example, lets say I use a fog horn type sound in 2 second bursts for 30 seconds, just in case staff are busy, we dont wanna miss it. But when I open the message, click on it, or move it to another folder, it'd be nice for the sound to stop....

Ideas?

If you installed FiltaQuilla, you could create a filter that has the Action 'Launch File' whenever a new message satisfies a criterion of, say, Status + is + New. The file launched would be a sound file, and you could stop the playback anytime you like.
