The latest version, June 24, 2025 I think, of thunderbird on my desktop 128.11.1esr will not retrieve messages from centurylink's SMPT server and gives a pop-up window with "Login to server pop.centurylink.net with username orgates@centurylink.net failed." I have no problem manually logging into centurylink and did not change anything on my thunderbird end. Also, I cannot add a centurylink account to thunderbird either.

Hi. I just installed thunderbird on my new windows 10 instal, and for some reason I'm getting random notifications from thunderbird. I have 3 email account installed.

All of a sudden on my computer and I phone I can no longer send emails out . I was told to contact you to get this working . I am needing this for business so please help. I use windows 11 and computer has worked up until today and i phone has not worked for several years. this is frustrating to say the least.

For many years, I have used Thunderbird and have made a signature in HTML, with clear pathways to loctions where images are stored. Never had a problem. Here is my successful code:

Please tell me what the difference is between "size on disk" and "user quota"? I don't understand why my mailbox is full when all folders take only 1/5 of the available space. My hosting give me 5GB, a user quota in mailbox is 4.7GB (in the app for computer: the main folder containing all other folders - properties folder - Quota - Storage: 4.7GB), size on disk is 853MB (in the app for computer: the main folder containing all other folders - properties folder - General Information - Size on disk: 853MB), and the weight of all folders is ~1040MB (the sum of the weights of all individual folders in the main folder). None of the numbers match. I understand that the sum of the weights of all folders is probably supposed to be 853MB, that the discrepancy is due to rounding the numbers. I understand that some space may be "lost" from the hosting because installation files take up some space, so I actually have 4.7GB to use, not 5GB. However, I don't understand why my mailbox is full, when from 4.7 GB only 853 MB is used?

Have appreciated Thunderbird and donated for many years and downloaded update. Since the update (2 days ago) I cannot receive or send emails. My "Authentication method" states - '''No Authentication''' and my "Connection Security" states 'None'. Could this have anything to do with the problem? Appreciate some help. Iam unable to find how/where to create additional folders. With desktop version I have created a number of folders. I like organize and segregate my emails into various groups. Especially the ones I choose to preserve rather than delete.

What's wrong with Thunderbird Email. It asks me to change my Password so I do, but rejects every password I put in above 8 letters. I have about 500 emails to attend to, but can't get past the ones in July.

Since 5.18.2025 I get a "no message found" in my sent folders and other folders. "Find" will still find the messages and they can be opened, but I can't get the email folders to display. I know they are still there. Version 128.10.2esr. How can I get them to display in the folders?

Error message: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

I am able to send. But no incoming. I have archived my mail so that the incoming folder has less than 4000 emails. I have restarted the program and the computer several times.

I received mail this morning and then began to get the error message. Disk space on all drives is sufficient.

First: I have updated from Win 10 to Win 11, it seems to me that my PC believes I am running win 10; Monday everything was OK. The real problem: I cannot activate the trash-folder, on Monday I could. I have a file that apparently is the trash-folder.

I have noticed a difference in behavior (for some time now, but I haven't noted exactly which version: first half of the year) in the alert for tasks that are “oudated” but not “completed.”

On ESR, an outdated task continues to sound at the launch or from time to time. On release, an outdated task no longer sounds (it remains green in the list, but that's all). And we are no longer notified if we don't go and check.

I don't know if this behavior is intentional or if it's a bug, but personally I switched to ESR because it's too problematic for me to no longer have alerts on overdue tasks.
