After latest update 136.0, a TB icon showed up in the 'system tray'. I'd like to hide it, I have no use for it. Browsing the settings including the advanced preferences yields nothing useful.

I have Firefox 102 ESR in Debian 11 (LXC in Chrome OS). It is the en_US version with Czech spell checking dictionary installed as an add-on. I can switch the spell checker from English to Czech in ordinary text areas by accessing the context menu via a right mouse click.

However, I'm using a proprietary e-commerce system (Shoptet) with a WYSIWIG editor that has its own context menu, overriding the default one in the browser. I can't switch the language for that reason. Is there a way to switch the spell checker language for a particular text area without access to the context menu? Thank you very much.

Firefox update required me to restart Firefox. I was unable to save a bunch of work I had done in a particular tab because Firefox seems to have refused to connect to the site I was working at until I update. THAT SUCKS!

The problem is : Some of the time FF just records 0 bytes file and says nothing. I suspect that FF inspect the URL of the links and discard ( perhaps for security reason ) ones that do not begin with HTTP.

The bypass is : One has to copy the link and insert in in the new page of FF.

The solution would be to change FF code.

Help! I just installed the latest Firefox 120.0 and I have a huge problem:

I work a lot with the address bar. I type a few characters and choose a URL from my history that I need to work with, then modify that URL by typing or pasting, to get the address I need. Now, I can't do that. Either I accept the full URL suggested or I must type a completely new one. That's a huge obstacle for me. I absolutely need to work with, i.e. select and modify, URLs that I have previously visited.

Please tell me there is a way to do this!

Using MX-21.3_ahs_x64 Wildflower. Since upgrading Firefox to version 116.0.3 all links within www.onlinetvrecorder.com do not work anymore. No messages, no hints what happened, just not working. Vivaldi has the same problem, Chrome works. I have asked in mozillazine, but did not get an answer.

When plugshare.com loads, there is a prominent search box at the top left corner. However it is missing the menu icon (see attached pic) as well as the search icon. This is happening on 2 different machines running Ubuntu 22.04.

Please fix. Google Chrome displays just fine; see attached pic.

My firefox suddenly became very slow after an update. On each web page I have to wait maybe 10s, and nothing happens, and after that all is ok (really fast). Safe-mode didn't help. Thanks, Piero

Hello, I just noticed that at the top of my settings menu there was a flag saying that I was not logged in to Firefox. I clicked the link and logged in. Bam, all my settings disappeared! I have special colours and fonts because I am partially sighted. It is now very difficult for me to use my browser. How can I get my settings back, please?

How can I restore a previous theme? I had a "colorfore" theme that Mozilla offered a few years ago set up in Firefox. It was perfect! I could see everything clearly with my aging eyesight.Then one of my synced computers needed a new Linux OS installation so I signed out of sync on that machine. Installed the new OS. When I started Firefox the first time I signed into sync. I got my history, bookmarks and bookmark bar, but no custom colors. Now my computer at work has its colors reset to the out of box colors too. I have lost the colorfore colors I have been using for several years now. How can I get the colorfore colors back? Recently I had un/reinstalled my firefox via snap and apt from linux. I'm signed into my account yet locally I'm not getting data to sync across devices. Any idea?

Suddenly my email from yahoo (my address==> [edited] @att.net) is GOING INTO TRASH. What'up ? I made NO changes to filters.

I have a problem with PDF showing.

If I take PDF generated by the lilypond and I open it from link like https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/uploads/f51162c65d5194db6dd3b4fb86fa4e42/bug.pdf, PDF looks well. If I open same PDF from disk by using link like file:///tmp/bug.pdf , PDF looks different (wrong). Some ledger lines missing.

I am running firefox 117.0 (64 bit) for Arch linux.

In the image below you will see a large photo with thumbnails to its left. I should be able to "mouse-over" the thumbnails to access the related image, or simply click it... but yesterday that all stopped working in Firefox. I just installed "Brave" and it all works fine. Was there an update change that could cause the function to stop working? I need help because on Firefox ESR that runs on Debian some css appears really too big. In this example I will show the difference between Firefox and Chrome. If I open this popup from Firefox it appears full width. In Chrome it appears correct. Also I noticed some Icons rendering incorrect.

How can I achieve this? Thannks

Whenever I use web-applications that use WebGL or anything similar, they are always distorted. And yes, I have tried disabling Performance Settings, but that only slightly helped.
