Etrade.com shows a blank page after I log in. Every once in a while it will load, but no subsequent links will load after that. I have cleared 100% of my history/cache. I'm using tahoe 26.5. I haven't found another page with this problem.

what it says on the tin. went data purging with ol reliable WinDirStat and found this absolute behemoth of a file in the profiles directory for firefox. its especially weird considering the entire Firefox directory itself is only 1.5GB with this menace taking 1.3 of it. I cant imagine that bookmarks, search history, passwords, the works takes up any more than about 300mb. so im wondering if im just stuck in the early days of data or if the file really is just that girthy.

I DO NOT OWN A SMART PHONE.X IS ASKING ME TO PROVE I'm human by scanning a QR code with a smart phone in order to log in to my account. It was told to me that this will allow me to scan that code. I am leery about using it as Mozilla does not monitor it. It gets mostly good reviews but people complain about stability. I will just use it once to get into my account. When I have stories (articles) recommended through Pocket on new tabs that I'm not interested in I will typically "thumbs down" or "dismiss" the story. What I have found recently is that causes them to be promoted to me more rather than less. I believe it's interpreting my interaction as engaging with the content rather than not wanting to see it again. For example, I was shown an article on American football three weeks ago and I gave it a thumbs down. Later that day it was three articles. I gave them the same thumbs down. After repeating this process for days, weeks later I'm still getting multiple articles recommended per day related to football. I've never read one out of interest, and I didn't have any recommendations related to sports until the first one I gave a thumbs down. Based on that, I'm convinced it's having the opposite than intended effect. Dismiss doesn't seem make a difference. Please give me a way to tune the algorithm to what I actually want to see, I like this feature and don't want to have to turn it off.

I used Pocket for a while. It was excellent since it allowed taking a webpage and converting it to a document that could be copied and pasted to Microsoft word. This allowed further analysis and work on the contents of the page and was extremely useful.

Now that Pocket is gone is there another extension or a purchased extension that does the same thing on the present day Firefox.

I presently use Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I have firefox on imac, ipad and iphone. Recently my imac firefox browser became unable to load etrade after the login page. It just shows a white/blank page. I have to use my mobile devices to see this site. I have tried opening in troubleshooting mode - no change. I don't have any extensions or add-ons. The problem has persisted for 2 or 3 weeks so far. Tahoe 26.5

IF I click on a link in, e.g., a Disqus comment -- say, if I click on https://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2026/Items/Jul01-4.html THEN the Firefox response is to send me to, e.g., https://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2026/Items/Jul01-4.html:1K9Y2syRo30ousOmB06EENUd6jg Of course, the outcome is a "404 Not Found" error message. So exactly WHAT is the point of FF adding ":garbagecharacters" to the end of URLs, since doing so utterly *incapacitates* the functionality of "clicking on an embedded link" ?

Hello, I am using Linux Mint on a desktop with the latest version of Firefox. Two weeks ago I could login to the Discover website with no problems. Suddenly I can not log in, but get an error message that something is wrong and I can't login. I can login using Chrome on this machine. My wife gets the same message when she tried to login to her account on my computer. After several discussions with Discover, all I get is "it is not our problem."

I am having no problems logging into other accounts with Firefox on this computer.

I have not explicitly changed anything on the browser or computer. I have done some updates which included Firefox. I can login on a different Linux computer using an older version of Firefox. Of course the updates were also to the computer and I will ask the same question to the Linux forum.

I really like Firefox and would hate to have to change to Chrome.

I am using a Macbook air.

Following the last couple of updates I am now unable to see my Facebook feed, it will load the page except its only sort of highlighted. When attempting to load anything including messages it just hangs.

I have the same issue trying to access my Superannuation account, it simply hangs and eventually tells me to contact my fund due to a technical issue.

If I use Chrome or Safari or my iphone I can get in no problem to both of these.

I have tried disabling the VPN before we had it and after-no good!

Since the latest Firefox update, I cannot load my primary banking account, and one of my work websites won't load. I can access both of these sites on other browsers.

VPN working properly, then quits for no apparent reason, gives me a sign up / sign in screen [Screenshot 2026-07-01 111229], I sign in <sign in as subscriber>, error [Screenshot 2026-07-01 111537], VPN doesn't work (checked with check my IP), but Mozilla says I signed in! [Screenshot 2026-07-01 111649] What gives? [Tried rebooting already]

I have added the "Firefox Multi-Account Containers." I see the container icon, indicating it is "contained."

I have clicked manage containers and created separate containers like news for instance. I switch between personal, news, shopping and used each supposedly separate container.

But, I see the same history in each, which is not what I expected. Do I need a different Firefox account for each container?

I am using Firefox on my computer, but WhatsApp Web is not working correctly. The page does not load properly, or some features are not functioning as expected. I have tried refreshing the page and restarting the browser, but the problem continues. Please help me fix this issue.

Upon restarting my laptop earlier today, I realized that ALL my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared into thin air. Gone (or, rather, "empty") is my bookmarks toolbar, and my bookmark menu, and everything else. What to do? Thank you.

macOS Tahoe, Firefox 152.0.3 macOS settings include "Appearance - Auto"; i.e. system switches from light to dark at sunset. While the "top area" (tabs, address bar, bookmarks bar) of Firefox follows this - some of the pages themselves do NOT???

I found this website which was at top of the search results. I tried to follow it, but it seems to be badly outdated in certain key respects: esp wrt a setting called "ui.systemUsesDarkTheme" in about:config. I set this to "True", but may have screwed this up!! First question: Should I "reset" this somehow?

Finally: To get at the primary question, there are two "sub-questions" that may explain my confusion more clearly:

1. Is there no ***simple way*** to get Firefox & webpages I view to follow macOS Light/Dark appearance?? What are the CORRECT steps?

2. Do individual webpages have the ability to "decide for themselves" whether or not they will adhere to the system light/dark settings. This may well be an officially "stupid question", but while "most" webpages remain "Light" (including this Support page), a few pages appear dark.

Desired behaviour Please add an option that would make Firefox update only when:

• a) Firefox is completely closed — no open windows, no active profiles, no running `firefox.exe` processes of any kind.
• b) A Windows reboot or shutdown has occurred.

Current problem Currently, Firefox sometimes initiates an update while a session is still open — for example, when opening a new profile or seemingly at random. This interrupts active work and forces the update at an inconvenient time, meaning all tabs and workflow are disrupted.

Suggested improvements

• A good extra option could be modelled on Windows Update, which provides a series of delay settings.
• The update should wait until all `firefox.exe` processes have ended (currently, opening a new profile can trigger an update even with another profile running).
• A forced update that disrupts current work feels overly aggressive, especially when the update is not mission-critical. Even if it is critical, the timing should be a user choice.

Alternative approaches

• A selection could be provided to wait until the user has naturally finished, with all instances closed by choice, or until the computer is restarted after a Windows boot.
• A popup could appear with options to delay, or a notification saying "Update needed — please close browsers." There is no need to force this.

Workaround difficulty At present, the only way to achieve this is by writing a script. This overly aggressive update behavior could instead be controlled by a simple setting for advanced users. Being overly concerned about security to this level, should be a user choice not force. Turning it off and making it manual is still not as helpful as automation.
