I have a question regarding syncing. Is there a way to remotely remove all synced information from Firefox on a particular PC without actually accessing it? For example, if I sync my home PC Firefox with my laptop or my work PC. Then, one day, for some reason I no longer have access to my work PC, and all of my sensitive information is there. Or if I lose my laptop, or if it is stolen... Is it possible to remove all sensitive information from a remote synced PC? Alternatively, is there a way to remove all synced information every time I close the browser? This way I can remove a particular PC in my Firefox account and once the browser is restarted at the remote location, the data will no longer be pulled and synced. Can this be done? I currently am running FF vers. 109.0.1 64 bit on Win 10 pro. I don't like what I've been reading about the latest update, my machines are old and I'm not ready to upgrade so I don't want an even more overloaded/uses up more CPU, etc., version of Firefox. I don't have complex needs in a browser, so some of the "upgrades" haven't been useful for me or have made using FF more difficult.

  I found a list of what I guess are older versions but no information was provided on how to choose a version of say v. 110, to make sure it's the right one for my laptop and/desktop (or the one that will work w/the fewest problems) that it's in English, etc.   
  My impression is that FF is mostly worked on by people who have a variety of needs & interests so increasing sophistication is what they want and that's fine, I'd like to keep using FF w/my current machines, w/as simple a version ,ie., useful for an unsophisticated user.    Is that possible?    If so, I'd like to upgrade to 110 64 bit or perhaps 111 64 bit unless either or both had huge security holes, etc and many users found they weren't very functional.   I do have security software.

When using "send tab to device", the submenu previously showed all synced devices, in my case, more than 10 devices. Recently it only shows 4 devices and there is no way to access the other ones. Is this broken or is it a recent change? If so, can I revert the behavior with a preference?

Under "manage devices", I still see all of my synced devices, they just don't show up in the "send to device" submenu.

I lost my tabs. Firefox has been opened and closed several times after losing tabs. I went here https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. I was able to find the file containing my lost tabs, it is sessionstore(1706800631216_9931f324-5558-4488-a36c-a5b3cb9e8c54_event_jsonlz4).json What do I do with this file now? Thank you.

Hi, I create an account to sync Bookmarks, Passwords, Add-ons, History etc from one computer to an other. I successfully created the account, verify mails, checkbox all features to sync in settings, and click on "sync' multiple times. But nothing is synced on my new computer. The latest Firefox update appears to break video playback on Linux. I am having issues playing video on Twitter, Facebook, and Locals. YouTube video still plays. I have not enabled any new ad blocking and have also not changed any settings. Looking at the Troubleshooting Information in Firefox reveals nothing that is suspect.

When browsing in some websites such as "facebook.com", "mozilla.org", "lenovo.com", I sometimes get a popup to this link, but I don't have any kind of extension that could be causing that I think. What would be a way to troubleshoot this so that I can prevent that from happening? It's really annoying and the site also seems really sketchy.

Certain fonts are displayed not as what I set them to in Firefox's settings.

At first, I thought it was a windows OS font related issue- it's not.

I've followed everything here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323130 (The answer support link is inaccessible. But following the answer did not fix my issue.)

Also looked to see if any of my add-ons are affecting it. I've disabled them on the sites (in the screenshot) but the fonts are still displayed as attached. Checked to see if the add-on uBLOCK is disabling remote fonts, that feature is not checked so that's not the issue.

My router address with extensions is xx.xx.xx.xx/#/login. My previous router was xx.xx.xx.xx/cgi-bin/MANGA/index.cgi. When I type the IP address without anything after it, the URL entry changes from the new address to the old one every couple of seconds. I can't log into the router because it keeps changing. I disabled URL autocomplete, but it doesn't change it. Whenever I enter the address, it still completes with first the correct and then the incorrect URL.

How do I stop this? Thanks in advance.

So I wanted to read PDFs trough firefox with a dark theme, looked up how to do so online, and people say to change the "about:config" option "pdfjs.viewerCssTheme" to "2" instead of "0", I did that, tried opening a PDF, nothing happend, it was still black text on white backgrounds. Tried closing firefox, reopened the pdf, nothing happened, still white backgrounds. Tried to check if it might have to do with that specific pdf file's config, created my own PDF file from a word document, tried to open it, still white backgrounds. Tried disabling extensions, (which I use four of, UBlock Origin, SponsporBlock, Return Youtube Dislike and Translate this page), didn't work. Tried enabling the option on my laptop, didn't work. Tried a bunch of other stuff and it still won't work. My Firefox version is 109 and I'm using Windows 10 I also don't want to use the console/file edit thing with grayscale(1) invertcolor(1) or whatever it was since it also reverses the colors of images instead of just the backgrounda nd text color.

Firefox saves files that I only wanted to open with another application.

I checked the previous solutions in the forum, but they did not work for me. (Windows 11) I changed in system> general > download , applications > the app to open that file type and it works, but besides this Firefox keeps saving the files in the default download folder.

I tried also about:config browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel to false. browser.download.start_downloads_in_tmp_dir change to true No change - still saving copies.

'I Save HTML documents containing Bulleted items (lists) from Firefox. When the saved documents are opened with Firefox, the bulletsb are missing, but when opened with MsEdge they are there. Clearly the Saved File has the Bullet markers embedded (even if not identical to the original), so why can't Firefox show them? The particular files that I Save locally are "LibreOffice Release Notes" '

In the past, going to Wikipedia in Firefox automatically opened a search box to type in a search term. However, with the recently updated Wikipedia interface, Firefox no long opens a search box, so the user must: (a) stop typing (b) grab a mouse (c) click on the magnifying glass icon just to enter a search term. To demonstrate this, please go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and you will see there is no search box and you have to manually open the search box.

However, this works perfectly in Chrome. Going to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page automatically opens a search field to easily type into.

Will Firefox be updated to allow immediate access to search field in Wiki? Please see attached .png file and thank you for listening! CW

Hello, when I'm on a website that could use my microphone or camera, I am not getting the prompt to ask for permission to use them. I have tried manualy giving the website permission in CTRL-I website settings. But that did not fix it. I have tried the same websites in google chrome, and my mic works then.

since the latest update (17/1/23) Firefox seems to Hang then lockup then freeze then unfreeze when just browsing.

no special tabs open such as Youtube- just locks up on browsing 2 tabs plus- google search on 1 and facebook on 1 tab-closed the google search tab then scrolling through Facebook,froze after 3 scrolls of the wheel,locked up then unfroze
