need to unstall firefox & reinstall. Uninstall left components on my harddrive- creating havoc on my pc
firefox was unresponsive I uninstalled it but it didn't uninstall completely - now it will not open at all; will not reinstall a new download -it says that I already have a version installed - other programs from are now not opening

I had a similar problem,my computer froze while I was un installing/re installing Firefox,then kept saying I must delete old Firefox before it would allow me to re install,It apparently had remnants even though it indicated that the Firefox file was empty..,I finally used the "remove program" tool from "Advanced System Care",a free utility available from CNET,..That cleared it and then I could reinstall.,...Hope that helps...
