I need to be informed about updates to Firefox via email so I can start an update process of our Firefox package. Automatic updates is disabled in our package since users have no right to do this.

An alternative is the Firefox channels newsletter which is dedicated to news about development. You can choose to only receive information about releases. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/
