While I open Firefox I have no tool bar and can't type in any web sites, see my history, look at bookmarks, etc... I have tried function F11 - did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled - did not work. How do I get this back?

It sounds like the menu bar is hidden, for details of how to restore it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Menu+bar+is+missing
Once the menu bar is back, you can use the Toolbars item on the View menu to display other toolbars.
