Pre-written text not appearing
When I'd like to make a new search or change a web page's address for example, clicking on the search bar or text input location takes me to where i can write or input my own text (onscreen keyboard) but the pre-written text or previous search isn't shown there, this means that whatever i type with the stylus or keyboard is just put after what's already there when i go back.
Example: Site i'm visiting - 'Google.com'
If i want to change this to something else i click on the address bar but instead of showing 'Google.com' so i can erase it and write something else it shows nothing so if i then write 'Gmail.com' and go back what will be shown is 'Google.comgmail.com.
Any ideas on how this happened or how to fix it?

What version of Fennec/Firefox are you using, and on what type of device or operating system (e.g. Nokia N900, Google Android...)? Do you still see this problem if you disable your add-ons and then restart?
There are some known bugs when using Fennec with the on-screen keyboard in both Maemo and Android, for example https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=532893
(Oops, I missed the part above that says you are using Firefox for Maemo 1.1 on a N900. Thanks for the information.)
Well the shenanigans continue... i've disabled everything however what it does now is when i open up a search/input field to key in something with the stylus / screen keyboard it automatically has the last text i copied pasted there by default irrelevant of what was already in the search field. Also tapping on the search field in the browser frequently just zooms in and opens up a box at the bottom with the options next/prev which allows me to tab between elements (eg: search field - search button - next line - link) There's no obvious rhyme or reason to it. I'm thinking about uninstalling as it's practically unusable under these conditions.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your reply.
It sounds like you're running into one the many Fennec bugs related to the on-screen keyboard. I'm sorry I don't know of any fix for Fennec 1.1 (except to use the hardware keyboard instead). But on-screen keyboard support is a major focus for Fennec 2.0, which will be available this fall or winter, and these problems should all be fixed by then.
