UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THUNDERBIRD ON ANDROID SAMSUN S25. "User is authenticared but not connected"

Try this:

- go to https://www.outlook.com > sign in to your email account

- go to Settings > Forwarding and IMAP > enable 'Let Devices & Apps use IMAP'

Yes I have done all that. I was able to sign in on Desktop Windows Thunderbird with no problems.

I am unable to do the same for Android Thunderbird (Samsung S25). I also manually input the suggested incoming/outgoing configuration Outlook and Thunderbird recommends. After trying to add my email account with automatically configuration numerous times.

I first contacted Microsoft support chatting to a live agent. He said if I was able to add my Hotmail account to the Thunderbird software on Windows 11 Desktop but it does not work on the Thunderbird app on my Android, he said it is a app issue, and that I need to contact Thunderbird support instead. Which is why I am here
