I have one POP3 email account which does not download while other POP3 email accounts do download.

travis.edgar.davison

I have a POP3 account which will not download new emails. The indication is there are no new emails. I can access the email account through gmail and there are many new emails. I have checked password. I have gone through the re-indexing procedure and all other possible solutions I could find. I did find some information about Java and incidentally, there was a Java update on the day my emails began to fail, 8-16-2026. I found this error message, but I don't know how or if I can fix this: module is not a constructor ExtensionCommon.sys.mjs:1679:15

   asyncGetAPI resource://gre/modules/ExtensionCommon.sys.mjs:1679
   AsyncFunctionNext self-hosted:780

Thank you for any help you might provide. Please email to [redacted email from community support forum]

Just something to check: with Gmail, you must first authorize POP on the online account.

David, thank you for your reply. However, I have another gmail account that is continuing to work as it should. I will be investigating for a difference in the other accounts. Thanks.

All accounts are set for POP3.

You go to this link https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop and choose one of the POP enabled options Google offer. There is nothing to investigate as to differences.

Matt, can you help me understand? If this is a global setting to all gmail accounts, I have 3, would 2 work and only one of them fail? When I go to the link you provided, it is noted that

1. Status: POP is enabled for all mail that has arrived since 1/22/14 Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded) Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on Disable POP

Is there something else that is or might not be set correctly?

Thank you for replying.

Someone posted that they had this same problem. I'm wondering if that person would share their experience since no one has provided a resolution. I don't even know if I can preserve my saved messages and restart the gmail account some way. Any help would be appreciated.

Those settings are not global - the are specific, only for one pop account.
