New look, missing short cuts

opened firefox this morning like always and my short cuts are gone, even though settings shows the box checked. Where are the shortcuts that I had?

Similar here. My pc crashed, on startup firefox told me history and bookmarks are in use by another application, so I restarted pc. That fixed it, but all my shortcuts are now gone and while I have the button to add new ones, adding a new shortcut does nothing.

I would try rebooting the whole machine once more, to see if the locks get released…

The link solved the issue for me. I had assumed that since the error message for that had disappeared, and I had access to my bookmarks and history again, it was done with. But no, it was the places.sqlite file that was giving me problems.
