Widevine stopped working yesterday 4/30 can't watch crunchyroll or hianime.
Since yesterday Firefox stopped working with Crunchyroll and Hidive and says, "Firefox is installing components needed to play the audio and video on this page. Please try again later."
150.0.1 (64-bit) Bazzite Linux 6.19.14-ogc1.1.fc44.x86_64 bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open:stable v44.20260501.1 Widevine plugin is version 4.10.2934.0.
Additionally, I've disabled extensions as well, cleared the cache. I've disabled play DRM content and restarted the browser before turning it back on. I've changed from my own dns server which I see nothing being blocked to google public dns and saw no difference. Everything was working fine on Wednesday night and stopped on Thursday.

Got it, thank you! I've removed the replies (but not the question). Could you please share a screenshot of the message you see? I can't find it among the Firefox strings... Though it may be just me missing something.
You may close the question entirely, I solved the issue. Originally I was requiring Firefox to run as XWayland instead of Wayland so I could use global push to talk with discord which only runs as XWayland.
When Bazzite updated to Fedora 44 and the latest kernel Firefox stopped working under XWayland with the latest kernel and the work around I had found for it was to disable sandboxing. Restoring to defaults and running under Wayland fixed the issue with widevine not working, presumably allowing sandboxing to work properly with Wayland.

Hi,
By the above, did you mean that you want to remove the question?

Hello Denys, I've updated the replies from "-removed" to "-this comment can be removed-". I was originally adding extra details to my post but assumed the edit option would be under the three dots menu associated with the post however it only showed "quote" so I assumed there was no way to edit the post once submitted. Then after I submitted that second "-this comment can be removed-" I saw the "edit this question" link on the right side and added the extra information into the original post and set those comments to "-removed" which I see now was a bit confusing. I would like to keep the original post as the issue is still present.
Got it, thank you! I've removed the replies (but not the question).
