tell me why i should use mozilla firefox instead of MS Edge or Chrome? Is it a chromium browser like the others?

Most certainly not. The desktop Firefox web browser for Windows, macOS, Linux and the mobile version for Android uses Gecko as the browser engine. However due to Apple's restrictions on browser engines used in iOS/iPadOS the Firefox browser uses the built-in WebKit rendering framework.
The Microsoft Edge and Opera web browsers used to have their own browser engines before they got lazy and downgraded to being Chromium based. Opera went from Presto to Chromium in 2013 and Edge went Chromium based in 2018.
