iOS Translations not available

I'm running FF v147.2.1 on my iPhone. There is NO translation option in the address bar OR in settings. It was supposed to be introduced in v146. Why is it not available despite having a version that is supposed to have the feature?

Hey Peter and Frodo,

As I noted above, this feature is still being rolled out progressively. There's a huge chance that it hasn't reached yours yet even though you have Studies enabled.

I'm following up with my team to add a progressive roll out banner in the Translate webpages in Firefox for iOS to avoid more confusion. Sorry about this inconvenience and thanks for your excitement about this feature. Really means a lot to us and the team working on this.

Thanks both — this is helpful. It's the mixed locale that ends up reported in weird ways by iOS — think "English (Germany)" or "English (Israel)" kinda nonexistent locales by conflating the actual system language and system region into one — but it should not really matter for the rollout, as any English variant, no matter if existing or not (:) should have been enabled.

Actually I myself use similar setup, as well as some of the FxiOS engineers, so these kinks are usually spotted early on, I'll check again with folks how the eligibility was set up, and eventually look into going into hidden menus to flip switches to try to force some things;)

(If you're familiar with the debug settings already, you can try "Force Remote Settings Sync" as the first step.)

Actually looking at the settings — even if you have remote features disabled et al. — this feature should be enabled by default starting v150.2 so make sure you've updated and the menu item should show no matter the enrollment or eligibility.
