AdBlock listed as containing malware.
I just read a PC World article concerning extensions containing malware. AdBlock was listed and I've been using the extension for some time. Are you aware of this issue? Is the extension available viz Firefox setting/extensions in question. Should I remove it?

Did you read the article? https://www.pcworld.com/article/3037666/840000-users-hit-by-malicious-browser-extensions-uninstall-these-asap.html Are you using one of the apps mentioned.. Which Adblock are you using? Is this the one listed? If it's not in the store, then it was removed and if you have it installed, remove it.
What you need to do now
Mozilla and Microsoft reacted quickly and removed the malicious extensions from their stores. However, users who had already installed them must remove the extensions manually, or else they’ll remain active and continue to cause damage.
These malicious extensions have been identified so far:

I read the article, and as I mentioned I'm using AdBlock. I may be wrong, but there is only one AdBlock listed by Mozilla and if MS and Mozilla removed the offending copy from availability and I still see AdBlock available, the questions I have are:
- Was there more than on version available and the version I see okay?
- Was there an error and the version I see available should be removed?
As far as I remember, there was only one version available through Mozilla, so what did Mozilla remove if the article was correct?
If Mozilla has an extension added to blocklist then it should be disabled and not still active. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-ons-cause-issues-are-on-blocklist
Up until Nov 2020 Mozilla used to make it easy to see the list of blocked extensions at a glance at https://addons.mozilla.org/blocked which now leads to https://blocked.cdn.mozilla.net/

Which Adblock extension as there are multiple extensions with Adblock in the name as you can see at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?q=Adblock&type=extension
There would be a Lot of threads here if this was about the very popular "Adblock Plus" extension.
"AdBlock" alone is too general as any legit extensions that has Adblock in name has one or two words with it like "Adblock Plus".
