How do I stop auto fill on Firefox and auto fill in drop down menus?

I want to know how to stop auto-fill on any form and also prevent drop-down menus keeping email addresses or anything else, like passwords. I hate drop-down menus with info on them and , also, doing auto-fill.

Please offer suggestions. I have not had success researching on my own.

Thank you,

Hi Claudia, Firefox has three features to check:

(1) Form and search history

The following article describes how to disable this feature: Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms.

(2) Address and credit card autofill

The following article describes how to disable this feature: Address autofill on Firefox.

(3) Password Manager

This only relevant to login forms, usually. See: Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox.

If none of those features is responsible, the data could be coming from cookies or local storage data the site requested Firefox to save for its future reference. To clear that data, after saving any work in progress:

While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.

Then try reloading the page. If the site requires a login, you'll need to sign in again.

Any improvement?

Finally, if none of the above explain the site's suggestions, it could be from your account on the site, if you are signed in.

Let us know whether you were able to clear it.
