After a bit I use Thunderbird, my sent emails are not copied, out of nowhere. I need to kill thunderbird

and then it is fine for a few hours, until it happens again. This since weeks. The error I get is:

our message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-XXXX@XXXXXX.edu.

How can I solve it?

That error message is usually correct. This is rare with major email providers, such as Outlook and Gmail, but more common on self-hosted accounts. Solving it may require more investigation on network performance.

I'm seeing the same behavior with Pair.com-hosted email. It's happening within 15-30 minutes of restarting Thunderbird.
