It's enabled in Firefox for background tabs since version 108. You don't have to do anything.

i just found this preference "dom.ipc.processPriorityManager.backgroundUsesEcoQoS" and it disables the "Efficiency mode".
so why you didn't tell me that instead of telling me that i don't have to do anything?
let it be my concern what i change and what not.
