duplicate of [/questions/1428971] thread. Hi there. I just now rebooted my Mac system after a crash. Thunderbird was the first application that I opened. However, even before opening Thunderbird, it automatically opened my Chrome web browser with an appeal to "help keep Thunderbird alive." (https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/115.0/appeal/) Unfortunately, what this did to me was to lose my ability to restore all my previously open windows and tabs from my pre-crash Chrome session. I was able to recover a few from "recently closed" in the History tab. But dozens upon dozens of other, older windows and tabs are now completely irrecoverable. This, as you can imagine, is not a happy thing. When I open Thunderbird, I want to open Thunderbird. *NOT* my web browser. I've had occasional, similar issues in the past from other products, but I never expected to run into such behavior from a Mozilla product. Please change your practices so that this doesn't happen again. Thank you kindly.
