jscher2000: Q1a. Am I correct that enabling the 'Clear History When Firefox Closes' option (to automatically delete the content within the Cache2 folder) or manually deleting the cache after every session deletes the 'contents' of the Cache2 folder but it 'does not' delete the folder? b. Am I correct that accessing the 'About: Cache' page will show the 'path' to the Cache2 folder? c. Am I correct that, if 'stuck files' remain (after clearing the cache automatically or manually), going into Windows Explorer, navigating to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>,' and deleting the 'Cache2' folder will remove 'Stuck Files?'
Yes, yes, yes. On b, it's about:cache with no spaces. On c, don't delete this folder until Firefox has shut down.
Q2. With respect to 'stuck files,' should the 'PROFILE' folder or only the 'CACHE2' folder be deleted?
There is no reason to delete the entire profile folder if you only want to delete files in the cache.
Got it!
-Briefly, what is the 'Doomed' folder?
-Why are there a couple of files with four numbers and and couple of files with five numbers?
-Should the folder (and its files) be left alone?
-Why does the folder 'appear' and then 'disappear?'

Don't know; don't know; unless you have a good reason to delete it; don't know.
The entries folder in the cache2 location is used for the disk cache. The content of entries is copied to doomed when there is a problem with the disk cache detected on startup. This doomed folder should be cleared (i.e. shouldn't have files in it) on the next start (Firefox > Quit) when everything is OK. If files in the doomed folder gets created then something is wrong with the disk cache.
