unable to save passwords since most recent update
Hi I use my Firefox account on my personal computer and on my own computer on a server at work. Since my Firefox was updated to most recent version, I have not been able to save any passwords on Firefox on my server site. I tried adding a primary password using Firefox while on the local station, but it is not functional. Every time I open any new page to where I have an account, I have to reenter my Primary password before signing in to the site. I have since disabled this feature as it is not working for me. Firefox seems to be working fine on the local station at work and on my personal computer at home.
My Computer service tech for the server is unable to resolve this. I have also consulted a computer tech in the community who has not been able to solve it. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice. We have gone through a multitude of settings on the Firefox site. I am able to save the passwords without issue if I use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
I am looking for someone who can give me guidance on what settings I many need to change. I simply want to be able to enter my user name and password for the common sites that I use, ask Firefox to store them so I do not have to retype them every time.
Thank you, Shelley B

You can try to rename/remove logins.json and key4.db in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. Note that you need to set a new Primary Password if you use one when a new key4.db is created.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).

Can you use "Create New Login" on the about:logins page or does this fail as well?
Cor-el, while on the RDSS, I cannot create a new login on the about: logins page. Nothing will save. The list there is blank. If I look on the local station, there are many saved logins and passwords.
Dropa, The Sync is turned on, all boxes for areas to sync are checked. I can sync from the local station to my phone, and local station is working.
Firefox on my Remote Desktop Server (RDSS) is the issue. I cannot sync. I try to do a manual Sync Now but the circle spins for 2 seconds then stops.
In addition to that, I cannot save a new login or password for any page when on the RDSS. Every time I open a particular page, I have top type in the login and PW. This was not an issue until Firefox upgraded to the new version. Everything used to work perfectly and Firefox was my favourite. Now I am struggling and frustrated.
Hopefully someone will have a solution. I cannot find a route to communicate with Firefox directly. Only through these forums. Thanks, Shelley

We removed the logins ans key4 files. Created a new profile and turned off the 4 extensions that I had. Computer tech surmises that the original profile was corrupted.
New profile, Everything is syncing, response time in Firefox greatly improved.
Will check the PW list, try out each of the extensions and hopefully should be clear sailing ahead. Thank you for that great guidance, Cor-el!
