Is there a way to globally turn off the appearance of all web site accessibility widgets for the Android version of Firefox? These widgets, while I'm sure are helpful to those that need them, are a nuisance to users who don't and are typically located in easy to reach (read: accidentally), space-taking areas of the browser. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox for Android but is a design choice by website designers.

Thanks Paul. I don't belive there is any "issue" here per se. The question is around suppressing the widget on all sites. Typically, functionality like this on each site allows the user to select to hide the activity for X number of days. Since a Firefox user uses the browser for privacy, settings are such that this type of setting would not be saved along with other settings by design. It appears that in order to allow for this suppression to be set one would have to allow the site to store that information thereby negating the benefits of using the browser. Hence the question, is there a setting/add on/flag that can be set to disallow this feature much like one would a pop up, add or any other "side car" running on the site. Thanks!

You could try an add-on such as uBlock, NoScript or Ghostery. These are available from the add-ons option in the Firefox for Android menu.
