Perhaps you got a 64-bit version of the program instead of a 32-bit version. Is this for the system-level VPN? I don't have any download links for that myself, so hopefully you can find the alternatives.

Yes, it's for System-level VPN.
Mozilla is partnering with Mullvad for the system-level VPN, and I notice their Windows download is 64-bit only: https://mullvad.net/en/download/
That's not very promising if you have 32-bit Windows 10, but hopefully another support volunteer can tell you definitely one way or the other.
Thanks for the info. Yes, the Firefox VPN install file for Win10 did work on 64bit.
