Firefox (61.0.2) suddenly does not load Facebook images. Also BBC and few other sites have become plain text.
I have never had this trouble before. It suddenly now only occurs on some sites:- ones I visit daily and until now without any of this trouble. It affects the BBC website and Newsnow site which, instead of being neatly formatted are now all plain text. Facebook formatting is OK except no images now appear! I have gone through all the options on Firefox, but cannot see anything that would have caused this to occur. Can anyone help please?

- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
