I would like to keep a comprehensive Users Manual (PDF?) offline. Is there such a thing, or am I just being "old school"?

There is an unofficial manual. The site that hosts it has changed recently but if you go here

http://flossmanuals.net/

and browse for Thunderbird, you will find a "download" link that will deliver a pdf manual.

It is somewhat out of date and I don't know of anything in such a format that is any more up to date. Whilst the advice on this support.mozilla.org site and on mozillazine is actively maintained, these sites are admittedly not well suited to printing out.

Here is another source that you could save as complete web pages or print to pdf format using the native Win 10 pdf printer.

Thanks for your response. The info at the site you directed me to was primarily "Introduction" material. I appreciate your helpfulness.

The PDF download you pointed me to seems to be just what I was looking for. Thanks for your response.
