What is your anti-virus software?
I think I solved this. Changed TBird Assigned printer. The other printer is slow to activate and eventhough I am not printing, the delete message action waits for the printer to respond. Once printer responds, delete completes. Changed to a immediate responsive printer seems to have solved this problem.
