Firefox forgets previous page after loading public wifi login page.
First step. -- Connect to your private wifi. -- Open a webpage (say mozilla.org). -- Close firefox.
Second step. -- Connect to a public wifi with login page. -- Open firefox restoring the webpage remembered. -- The webpage opens the login page in place of mozilla.org. -- Close firefox.
Third step. -- Connect to your private wifi. -- Open firefox restoring the webpage remembered. -- The page loaded is the login page, not mozilla.org. Firefox forgot that you wanted to be on mozilla.org.

Hi leonl, Thank you for your question and the steps to reproduce this. If you would like to see a change I would recommend filing a bug in bugzilla.mozilla.org.
However, in order to find a work around in the meantime I would be happy to troubleshoot further.
If the goal is to keep the page from last time you had Firefox open without loosing the page/or loosing the ability to go back please try the following:
If you go to about:home after logging into the public network you can use the "restore previous session" button to restore the page from last time.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for your reply. I followed your suggestion and I filed a bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1070059
Unfortunately, the "Restore previous session" is not always available to return to those "lost" pages.
Thank you again!
