Prior to the update to TB 153.5.1esr (on Linux Debian) all was fine. The update was accompanied by (caused?) a display that is huge, such that much of my content is off-screen.

I've noticed that on Firefox for Windows version 159.0, the show AI chatbot shortcut does not show up when selecting text. This is true for normal startup as well as troubleshooting mode. I have verified that the "show shortcut when selecting text" option is selected in the AI Chatbot sidebar.

I've been using Thunderbird for my POP3 accounts on Windows 10 for years. I'm now trying to install Thunderbird on a new Mac Mini (M6) running MacOS 27. In the Thunderbird setup, I go straight to Manual Configuration and select POP3. This takes me to a screen that allows me to configure one POP3 account plus an SMTP server. I enter the exact same configuration info that I use for one of my accounts on the Windows machine. Interestingly there is no box on the form for an account password. When I hit the "Connect" button, Thunderbird post a message saying "Mozilla Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." When I select "Show more" it says "Can't find a server".

My Mac machine has its firewall turned off completely ("Inactive") and I have no problems with other apps accessing the Internet. There is no way to explicitly list Thunderbird as a firewall exception because the firewall is off. Further, I opened a command window and pinged both my POP3 and SMTP servers (using the same names as I supplied in my Thunderbird configuration) and they ping just fine; i.e. "ping" has no problem reaching them. I'm at my wits' end.

When I launch Thunderbird via icon ( version 158), it always brings me to sign on page for Thundermail.. If Thundermail is by invitation only, how do I get back to the real TB page. I can access webmail, my account, and portal. I only see Version 156 in download folder and only have default-release and default in the profile. I have no clue then what is happening. Will bringing back an earlier version. "ABOUT" shows version 158 and nothing else.

Also, my android email & passwords have remained constant and I did not have to change anything.

Problem downloading emails from Yahoo

For years there has been no problem, but about 2 weeks ago downloads stopped. Pane at bottom of Thunderbird says downloading message 1 of 292, but is is stuck at 1 and nothing downloads.

Today something different is happening, it downloads the first 80 messages then returns again and downloads same messages again, then repeats. I now have 17 duplicates of these same 80 emails just in the time to write this and it is still downloading the same 80 over and over again.

I have searched internet for solutions. I have done the following:

Updated to Oauth2 through Yahoo website. Thunderbird shows a saved login password oauth://login.yahoo.com, plus my correct email address, plus an OAuth2 password

Checked all server settings. All correct, e.g, pop.mail.yahoo.com Port 995 SSL/TLS security, and OAuth2 authentication method

From server settings page I tested connection to server which came back successfully

Same as above for outgoing server.

I have ample disk space on my computer and ample data capability on Yahoo account.

Confirmed not in offline mode. Confirmed cookies and javascript enabled.

BTW, I can access all my mail on Yahoo’s web page, but that is inconvenient. I really prefer access through Thunderbird.

I have deleted global-messages-db.sqlite and Thunderbird reestablished it. Did the same for popstate.dat, and inbox.msf

I even uninstalled Thunderbird and reinstalled it but no improvement in the problem.

I am out of options now. What to do? Thanks so much.

Yesterday while using Thunderbird on Samsung android phone the contents of my inbox completely disappeared. I searched Thunderbird's other folders such as Trash, Spam & Archive et al to no avail. This is disasterous for me. I see from a Goggle search that this is not uncommon.

I want to create a rule that applies only to one folder. Essentially, I get various notifications that I want to keep for a couple of months, but don't need permanently (e.g. appointment reminders, visa notifications, etc.). I have rules that work properly to move the message to the correct folder, but I want to create a rule that will delete the message IN THAT SPECIFIC FOLDER after 60 days. I most certainly don't want to delete messages in the inbox or other folders that I need to keep permanently. 1. Is there a way to do that? 1a. If there isn't, can it be suggested as an enhancement? 2. If there isn't, is there a better way to do this that I can't think of?

I've added a screenshot of one of the rules that I've created that works correctly. I need to be able to delete that message without deleting any messages in other folders.

For the first time I am trying to add several different email accounts to Thunderbird on my Windows 11 laptop. One worked fine (i.e. second email account). The next, from a different email provider, only has an inbox, no other folders. Local folders now appears below the this last email account, and includes copies of the primary email account Sent folder and my Invoices folder. There are more items in this copy Invoices folder than in the version listed straight under the primary email Inbox.

My aim is to have several different email accounts, each with their own Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Deleted, and the capability to add Folders as I wish. But I am thoroughly confused, having tried and failed to add the usual and any extra folders to this email account. Would be grateful for any advice.

I was a COX cable Email customer, when they stopped providing Email my account went to YAHOO, but the Email address stayed the same. I have been using TBird for years. My old computer died, the person that set up the new one could not set up Tbird. I am trying but it says my cox.net site could not be found. PLEASE HELP ME! I love Tbird and hate YAHOO!

I tried to sync 2 times, but says it's complete, but their are no files showing. Once or twice I was able to sign in to the old yahoo, but it disappears and I can't find it again. I am not a lover of this new screen because all my info is gone. I can't even get my email without a ton of ads!!!!!!! I want my information back, now! I have work to do on my PC, but since I have no contact info,

I don't have access to the Firefox I had 2 days ago.  Firefox asked if I wanted to go to the original screen and I checked yes 2 different times, with no result. I think the all's ok is because it's syncing the new Firefox and there is nothing there.  Please, I need my information badly.

Lately every time I type something in the search bar to go to a site I get a window wanting me to verify I'm a human and a statement from Google telling me theres something wrong with my attempt to open a page. I never had this before recent and want to know why and how to stop it else I'll switch to using BRAVE for a search engine.

Hi everyone, I really like Firefox—it’s been my favorite browser for 20 years, both on Windows and GNU/Linux (ever since Windows XP)—but I’ve decided to switch to LibreWolf because I can no longer stand Snap hijacking the Firefox installation I set up via the .deb package. If anyone can help me stop Snap from interfering, I’d appreciate it.
